The differential equation for equilibrium relations for bending is based on the infinitesimal small loaded beam:

leading to :

qz=dVdx{q_z} = - \frac{{{\rm{d}}V}}{{{\rm{d}}x}}
V=dMdx{V} = \frac{{{\rm{d}}M}}{{{\rm{d}}x}}
